Welcome

MiniGP Academy NZ intends to put together a world-standard training and practice program to build a structured easy pathway for competitive riding for the youths and enthusiasts in New Zealand.

Our Mission Statement:

"Empowering the next generation of riders through safe, structured training, fostering growth in junior road racing, and building strong partnerships to drive New Zealand's youth motorcycle racing talent to new heights.”

What is MiniGP?

MiniGP bikes are purpose built road based machines built for juniors to hone their riding skills.

They have wheels that are either 10 or 12 inches in diameter and have engines that are either 110cc,160cc or 190cc.

The bikes predominantly ride and compete on outdoor Karting tracks. Here is a clip of a MiniGP race at Tokoroa in the Waikato.

Our Story

After battling through years of unofficial junior rider training, homebuilt road racing bikes and limited safety gear, a small group of enthusiastic people got together and decided to make a change.

We consulted with some of the greatest Motorcycle minds that exist within Australasia to establish a program to train the youths of New Zealand in the sport. Collectively, we have found that in a lower risk environment, our riders have the confidence and ability to test new limits and practice different riding techniques.

Our director has over 15 years of experience in race track based rider training. We have developed a curriculum that we believe is on the cutting edge of modern motorcycle racing rider training

Next was to obtain everything for your juniors to have access to the best suited bikes, purpose designed riding gear and the safest environment. MiniGP Academy provides all of the above - and accredited international levelled rider coaches
